Mount Rushmore National Memorial is the famous mountain where the faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln where shaped into the mountain. The sculpting began in 1927 and was declared finished in 1942, a year after Gutzon Borglum, one of the masterminds behind the project, died.
