The Tonto National Forest Upgrade is a sticker that must be affixed to your windshield. The Upgrade Pass is only valid with an accompanying America the Beautiful Interagency Pass which must also be displayed in the hangtag. The pass is valid for both the standard and expanded sites, including watercraft use. The pass is not valid for camping at Lake Roosevelt campgrounds, including Burnt Corral, Cholla, Schoolhouse, Tortilla, and Windy Hill. A day-use pass is required for these campsites.

If you do not have the America the Beautiful Pass and are planning on visiting the Tonto National Forest, you should purchase the America the Beautiful with the Tonto National Forest Upgrade. The America the Beautiful Interagency Pass provides free standard day-use access to most federally managed parks, including the National Park Service and the National Forest Service.
