From the Everglades National Park’s Royal Palm Visitor Center, you can hike along two short trails to explore the nature and animals of the Everglades. The Anhinga Trail which provides an opportunity to see alligators, anhinga, and marsh rabbits. The Gumbo Limbo Trail heads through orchids to the gumbo limbo, a red tree that used to be used for carousel horses.
