The highlight of Alum Cove Natural Bridge Recreation Area is the 130-foot natural bridge, actually the remains of a quartz sandstone cave. The arch can be reached by a short trail, passing rare flowers, including the French’s shooting star. To visit, from AR-16, turn right onto the gravel Forest Road 28 for 3 miles.
