Overlooking Maquam Bay, North Hero State Park is an excellent location for camping, picnics, fishing or exploring the unique floodplain habitat around Lake Champlain which is home to white-tailed deer, chain pickerel and northern pike which spawn and feed here and map turtles which nest along the beach.
