The Issaquah State Salmon Hatchery raises the Coho and Chinook Salmon, which are released into the Issaquah Creek, where their migration to the Ocean begins. But they will return to the Issaquah Creek in due time where they will breed and ultimately pass on.
During the fall when the Salmon return, the Issaquah Creek is filled with salmon and the town celebrates Salmon Days.
