The Tacoma Narrows Bridge connects the Kitsap Peninsula to Tacoma. The original bridge was the world’s third longest bridge, but it collapsed four months after it was built due to the wind conditions. It was replaced in 1950 with a suspension bridge, which was replicated in 2002.
