Take West Rim Drive for 9-miles to Hermits Rest. The roads offers many pullouts, each with unique, spectacular views. The road is closed to private cars most of the year except winter (Dec-Feb), but is open for bicycles, walking or take advantage of the free shuttle which stops at all the overlooks. The Rim Trail follows for 7.8 miles along Hermit Road.
