The Wheeler-Stallard Museum was originally built in 1888 by Jerome B Wheeler. Unfortunately, his wife refused to move from their home in Manitou Springs and the family never lived there. Today, the museum exhibits reflect Aspen’s history. There is an admission fee (free for kids under 12) that also includes entrance to the Holden Marolt Mining and Ranching Museum which focuses on Aspen’s silver mining era.
