Pontook Reservoir Recreation Area overlooks the Pontook Dam and is an important bird area. Have binoculars handy to observe the endangered or threatened Osprey, Common Loon, Pied-Billed Grebe, Bald Eagle and Northern Harrier, as well as a host of other waterfowl.
